Sometimes working for yourself can be pretty solitary so it’s always fun to take part in photographer challenges. This one on Two Photogs was perfect for me because I just got a Fuji Instax for my birthday – yippeeeee!
So the weekend of my birthday we headed up to Dubai (hubby was working up there and wasn’t going to be around for my b’day – but that worked perfecly cos he treated us to a night at the Atlantis to make up for that - whooopppeeeeee!!). These first three pics (which are my challenge submission) are at the Lost Chambers – which I LOVED!! Let me tell you, taking pics in a dark chamber, filled with glass and bright silvery fish, with a camera that you can’t turn the flash off on, that you can’t change the ISO of, or f-stop – well it’s a challenge – my total fave is the one of all the fish on the right – it was just so surreal – and it was a one shot photo – yes, I brag, but I’m very proud of myself!!!!
And here are some more of all of us mostly over that weekend – this is SUCH a fun camera - I love that, just like my Holga, it makes you think more before you press the shutter – you can’t just fire off a dozen photos in case one’s good – and yet, you care less about perfection and let the moments just be…
You’ll see some of them were taken by my girls – who equally loved it. I think I’m going to get a HUGE canvas and some funky drawing pins and start making these into a big collage for our home – I’ll post pics once it’s done!
