I’m excited to start a new project with a fabulously talented group of women. Each month we will post a picture on the Clickin’Moms Daily Project that is just one part of a photo essay named “Pieces of Life” – the full essay will be posted on our own blogs.
My girls had never experienced an autumn. They’ve had winters, and lots of different kind of summers but never an autumn. This year they got to experience the crunch of the leaves, the bareness of the trees, the richness of the colours, the smells of the cold coming, the touch and feel and sense of autumn – the chill, the wind, the muted sunshine. They threw leaves and jumped from naked trees and collected twigs for stick fights and for casting spells – we live in a country that doesn’t have leaves that fall, or trees that have twigs and it was magical to see them experience this.

And all the pictures were taken in the garden of the absolutely delightful 3 Jugs B&B in Yerevan, Armenia – staying somewhere with a garden was a pure delight for my apartment dwelling girls too.
