Fine Art Prints

I keep being asked to sell prints, especially ones from India, which would make fabulous mementos of a trip, or a time living here, or a leaving gift for a dear friend who is moving on. And I’ve finally pulled it together. They are beautifully printed on 300gsm archival fine art rag paper and they…

VOICE Awards 2021

The VOICE awards are one of the most beautiful collections of images I can think of. Showcasing female photographers from across the globe, each year they represent a diverse range of genres of photography and styles over a number of categories. Hosted by Click Magazine, which in itself is the most beautiful publication aimed at…

The Smiles of India | Our Why….

Everyone who comes to India is struck by the people of this country. I think it’s impossible to come here and not be impacted by the kindness, the welcome, the smiles, the waves, the chats people want to engage you in in the street, the hospitality you’ll be offered. One of the things I’ve found…

India Covid-19 Art Sale

UPDATE: We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our fundraiser, and the number of people we don’t even know who have donated to our appeal. We are Kirsty, Saffy and Indy – a Mum and 2 teenage daughters currently in Delhi, India, and feeling a desperate need to do something from our lockdown isolation to…

Kirsty Larmour Photography | Review of the Year 2018

Happy 2019!! And thanks for the wild ride 2018!! I’m delighted that I got to capture families all over the world this year – our move from Abu Dhabi saw me branch further afield, and try new things, meet different people and embrace change. The constant throughout all this was my desire to capture connection,…

The Wondering Light | Pieces of Magic

Sometimes you have a seed of a thought, which develops into an idea, which gets shared and grows and is nurtured and evolves and eventually turns into a little piece of magic. And that happened last year for me. In the form of “The Wondering Light”, a beautiful, enriching photography retreat in Goa, India. That…

Nikon Photo School | Learning Photography in the U.A.E.

I’m all for putting my money where my mouth is!!! And to my great honour, Nikon Middle East recently made me do that!!! One day last year I was talking with the people at Nikon Photo School about the lack of females in their speaker lineup, and the lack of education in their lineup aimed…

Xposure International Photography Festival 2017 | a recap

Last month I had the opportunity to teach a workshop at the Xposure International Photography Festival held in Sharjah, UAE. I wanted to do a brief, informal recap on what an incredible teaching platform that is. Obviously I was thrilled to be part of it, and the fact that my class on photographing your kids…

Photography on the Fly | an e-learning course by Kirsty Larmour

It was a HUGE honour to be asked to speak at the ClickinMoms Click Away conference a few years ago, and even though I always thought I’d never want to teach photography I LOVED it!!!! So, having had so much fun it was even HUGER to be asked to write a Break Out for Click Photo…

Click Away 2014

I don’t think I can ever truly convey just how honoured and humbled I was to be asked to teach at Click Away. I felt like I was a small-fry member of the ClickinMoms community, a misfit who had a style of photography so different to what everyone else was producing. Someone who lived a…

I'm Kirsty Hello There!

Hi, I'm Kirsty, a lifestyle photographer and photography educator who lives in India. My approach to photography is to capture real life – with a little sparkle on top fueled by my obsession with pretty light. I want to treasure the moments that need to be remembered.

Grab a cup of tea and have a roam around my blog to see my photography style and ideas. (Check out the Details section up there on the menu bar, and the FAQ's for lots of info too). I post pictures on here from recent photo sessions, as well as some personal photo projects and some ramblings about life in general. Leave some love, check my page out over on Facebook to stay up to date, and come back again soon,

Kirsty xx
