Following on from the bravery of the “This is Me” project with ClickPro the next month’s topic was “Around Town” and this one also required some bravery as I was one of the leaders along with 2 incredible ladies Carmody Baker and Denise Laurinaitis.
I recorded a video tutorial that can be found in the ClickPro Advenaced Learning library focussed on exploring around town with your kids – I took images from across the years, many of which have featured in my Break Out Photography on the Fly and show us exploring our urban area as we lived right in the thick of downtown Abu Dhabi for many years. It was fun to look back on those images, and to support and encourage others as they embraced their own back yards and some street photography – both with and without their kids.
I love sharing on my own instagram, and also took over the ClickPro instagram for a week sharing some behind the scenes and tops of what to look for from the town where I now live in India! That was fun to do and I’m sharing the slides I shared for some pointers here.
I’m hoping to get round to blogging some of our life here in India so for now here are some photos I pulled together for the tutorial, all from the United Arab Emirates over the years, and all embracing the concept of “Around Town”. The month ended up with the ClickinWalk, and by chance I was in the UAE and able to co-lead the UAE walk as I’ve done for the last few years – this year it was held in Dubai and myself, Natalie Robinson and Chloe Lodge led a fabuous group of ladies. If you’re going on a photo walk don’t forget to check out the tutorial I published on the ClickinMoms Blog about taking your kids on a walk with you – it was very timely! And look out for next years walk – I probably won’t be there but I’m sure some very capable ladies will ensure the tradition will continue 🙂
Until next month, Kirsty xx
