I wanted to do another more styled shoot while we were out in lush woodland kast time we were in England (English woods are just so magical) so we brought along some of my old childhood storybooks (I think some of them might even be from my Mums childhood too!)

I love little shoots where you set a scenario up and wait and see how the kids take to it – I think the old Winnie the Pooh book helped Indy!!I also love that you don’t need huge smiles….

or even to be looking at the camera to capture who children really are…

These are some of my faves of the girls this year – both of them are little bookworms – and, as you’ve seen before, a pair of accessories queens!!!I’m hoping to venture out for a brisk walk through part of these same woods today – all crisp and wintery now – gorgeous!

It may be a little chilly for us to stop for storytime today though 😉 Kirsty xx

PS I had a really wonderful assistant on this shoot who lugged all this stuff through the countryside and back, moved things around when I asked, drove us to the woods and even cuddled the girls when they were a bit chilly to keep them warm in between shots… aren’t Dads the best???
