I’m kind of in disbelief that we just finished year 4 of the Wish You Were Here Project. The fact it’s still going is such testament to the wonderful group pf ladies who contribute little snippets of their lives each week. For me it’s a little piece of calm in an otherwise full speed whirr of dancing classes and drama practices and sailing and desert trips and travel planning and photo editing or dinner making and mum-taxi’ing and all the other little things that bid for my attention as I make my way through daily life here in Abu Dhabi.
Life is full, but I always make time for calm. I can’t thrive without it. Busy makes me sad, and stressed and unable to focus, so when life is full, I need projects like this, for my moments of calm. And going back over the year is a chance for reflection and contentment about the good that happened, and the adventures (trekking in Tibet topping the list) and the fact this project gives me a beautiful little summary of the year that was.
Thanks for sharing in it – in the mundane and ordinary, and in the breathtaking and beautiful – it really means so much, Kirsty xx
