I love it when we venture a bit further afield and stumble across new places to explore – a friend had described where this place was to me and when I found it the beach there was perfect like that. Not too much else around, some houses way over in the distance but nothing much to block the view or the light, and a stunning glowing sunset filtering through as the kids and I had a picnic and played stepping stones on the big rocks and hunted through the reeds. Some afternoons that’s just what you need. Away from busy Abu Dhabi big city life and kids activities and all that comes with that. I just sat back and read a book and snapped at the kids (with my camera, not cos I’m a nasty Mum!!! haha!!) while they played.
Sometimes I feel like Abu Dhabi is just sand coloured and sand and it all gets a bit monotonous and various shades of orange, but then other times I find these lush little gems like this beach and everything comes back to life again and I feel rejuvenated. I guess that’s part of being a creative, that sometimes we need a change of scene, to see things through fresh eyes and see fresh scenes in front of us to jump start – whatever, I got my groove back for capturing the kids and our life and I’m super happy about that.
Until next time, Kirsty xx
PS how super cute are the girls cute kaftan and playsuit from Stella Cove? <3
