I’ve been focussing on capturing my kids a lot this summer as we’re hanging out in Abu Dhabi for quite a long time this summer holidays. Despite the soaring heat and crazy humidity and dusty skies we’ve been out and about a lot and spent some afternoons at the beach. The girls are becoming little surfer girls and love to body board out at Saadiyaat Beach and it’s perfect when it’s so quiet in the golden light of sunset.I’m going to be sharing some more photos from our Abu Dhabi summer over the coming weeks, along with some of the wonderful ladies who have taken my Photography on the Fly e-book/video class. This class embraces the ideas of knowing your stuff well enough that you are able to take photos where ever you are and whatever you’re doing whilst staying present in moments – as my kids grow seemingly far too fast these are concepts I attach more and more importance to with each passing year – I hope if you’ve taken the class (still available for purchase) you’ve loved it and fallen in love with that too…

PS a lot of these photos were captured with my old Nikon D80 (I’ll be honest, it’s the only camera I’ll risk taking into the sea!!) which just goes to show it’s NOT about the camera – it’s about what you do with it!! 😉

PPS how cute are the girls swimsuit sets from Stella Cove? I totally adore them – aren’t they perfect surfer chick wear!! (for those of you in AD, they have them in House of Fraser in Yas Mall!!)
