Happy New Year to you all and may 2010 be filled with wonderful blessings, happiness and peace for all of us.  I know I have a very exciting year ahead and I can’t wait to get started,  (though I’ve gotta tell you, my girls slept till 8:30 this morning, and that is the BEST start…

Merry Christmas | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Merry Christmas and a Very Happy 2010 to all my clients and friends. It’s been a month of celebrations, starting with Thanksgiving and Eid, all the way up to now – and that has meant some craziness for me here rushing around to make sure that you all had HUGE wall art on display for…

This year I am taking part in a worldwide photographic effort, Giving is Awesome, to provide deserving individuals and families with cherished photography heirlooms. Giving is Awesome is a simple effort by photographers worldwide to give back to their communities.  Premiere photographers from around the world donated over $565,000 worth of artwork in 2009, and expect…

Wishing all my blog readers a very Happy National Day on this 38th Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates. I won’t be in Abu Dhabi to celebrate this year, but for those of you celebrating your first national day, let me tell you it’s a big, big party!!! Instead, I’ll let you see a few…

Holiday Time | Abu Dhabi Travel Photographer

It’s holiday time again as we celebrate Eid al Adha. Eid Mubarak to my Muslim friends and clients – and coincidentally it’s Thanksgiving so Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and clients. We’re taking advantage of this to head off for more adventures in India – and my regular blog readers know well that…

Incredible India | Abu Dhabi Travel Photographer

I was absolutely thrilled to recently have a photo chosen for an exhibition in Hong Kong. The exhibition was sponsored by Jet Airways and the theme was “Incredible India”. My image was one of the Golden Temple in Amritsar. We went there on holiday in December last year – just 5 days after the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Our decision…

Featured | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

I was featured recently on “I love Photoblogs” which is a great place to go and browse if you’re after photography inspiration – beware you could spend all day clicking from one blog to another! It made me laugh that they got my name wrong though – do you know how many people call me Kristy…

Christmas Reminder | Abu Dhabi Photographer

8 weeks to go! Christmas ordering ends on 30th October so that I have time to send off your order, get it back, get it delivered to you, and you have time to write your beautiful custom designed cards or wrap your luscious products and get them on their way around the world in time…

Eid Mubarak | Abu Dhabi Photographer

A belated Eid Mubarak to you all. Belated because I was enjoying a few days away from my computer over the border in beautiful Oman – though we did make it to Oman full of high spirits about being able to eat and drink anywhere we liked again, only to realise Eid hadn’t yet been…

It’s almost Eid | Abu Dhabi Photographer

It’s almost Eid, which means the Ramadan promotion is almost finished and I’m gathering together my big print order! Ramadan – Food | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Aaaahhhh, Ramadan…. one of the reasons I love it is the food! And I don’t think I’m the only one – my Emirati friends often tell me that despite the fasting they fear putting weight on during Ramadan because of the divine iftar food. There are so many things that are special for this time…

It’s Nappy Time | Abu Dhabi Baby Photographer

This is what my drying rack looks like on nappy wash day – it’s the most colourful day of the week. In case I’ve not mentioned it before, I totally love my cloth nappies and they are sooooooo easy to use here with our abundant sunshine and heat.  If you’re interested in finding out more…

Questions | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

I get asked a lot of questions by clients before their shoots, or even before they book me, and it’s important to be armed with information so you can make the right choice about whether I’m the photographer for you. Is my style what you’re looking for? Do you need some guidance on clothing? Are…

Under the weather | Abu Dhabi Child Photographer

My 2 girls have both been feeling very, very sorry for themselves this week and I’ve been spending a lot of time on trying to nurse them back to full health again… and in doing so caught the nasty cold they had myself.  I’ve managed to carry on without re-scheduling any shoots (but with huge thanks to those…

Ramadan Family Time Promotion | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Ramadan has lots of meanings, but to me, as a non-muslim, one of the most important aspects that I can easily embrace is that it’s a family time. It’s a time to take stock of life and slow down to appreciate what’s around you, and a lot of us here are lucky enough to be…
