Gorgeousness ♥ Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

Oh my goodness… I love, love, love this family. For starters 6 month old little Raylee is just plain gorgeous, so what’s not to love?  but Mum was just so in tune with how I love my sessions to go – their clothes complimented each other and worked together, and Raylee was so patient through all the…

It’s almost Eid | Abu Dhabi Photographer

It’s almost Eid, which means the Ramadan promotion is almost finished and I’m gathering together my big print order! So please let me know by Tuesday if you want to be included in the large block print promotion. And because I can’t post without a picture, here’s another from my evening at the mosque. Bye…

Sheik Zayed Mosque | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Our family went for Iftar the other day at Sheik Zayed Mosque. This is probably Abu Dhabi’s most famous landmark, and deservedly so – it’s an amazing building, only opened about 18 months ago, which is the second largest mosque in the world, holding approximately 40,000 worshipers. It’s also one of the only mosques in…

Ramadan – Food | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Aaaahhhh, Ramadan…. one of the reasons I love it is the food! And I don’t think I’m the only one – my Emirati friends often tell me that despite the fasting they fear putting weight on during Ramadan because of the divine iftar food. There are so many things that are special for this time…

It’s Nappy Time | Abu Dhabi Baby Photographer

This is what my drying rack looks like on nappy wash day – it’s the most colourful day of the week. In case I’ve not mentioned it before, I totally love my cloth nappies and they are sooooooo easy to use here with our abundant sunshine and heat.  If you’re interested in finding out more…

10 minutes to Iftar | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Most photographers have personal projects ongoing in the background, behind all their professional work, that they wish they had more time to devote to. My current one has a time limit – trying to capture some images of what Ramadan is here in Abu Dhabi. It’s a month that means different things to different people, but I…

Style your Shoot – Autumnal | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

September is the start of autumn in many places – but given that we don’t really get an autumn with leaves falling from trees and big temperature drops I’ve kept the clothes summery, but in autumnal tones. Again, all from GAP because they just mix and match really well.Happy Stylin’, Kirsty x

Questions | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

I get asked a lot of questions by clients before their shoots, or even before they book me, and it’s important to be armed with information so you can make the right choice about whether I’m the photographer for you. Is my style what you’re looking for? Do you need some guidance on clothing? Are…

Much Better * Abu Dhabi Child Photographer

I just thought I’d share these pics to show that Indy is much, much better – and to say thank you everyone for your concern and well wishes. She’s back on fine form and even indulged me a small, impromptu (you can tell it’s unscheduled because her bobbles don’t match!!) photo shoot the other day…

Whirlwind * Abu Dhabi Family Photographer

Little Isabella is one of the happiest, smiliest 7 month olds I’ve ever met. We caught up for a sunset session and sometimes little ones can be a bit grumpy by the end of the day, but not Isabella – either that, or Mum and Dad knew all the tricks to keep her laughing and…

I knew it… * Abu Dhabi Family Photographer

I knew I was going to love this family well before I met them – and of course I was right!!! From our very first conversation Mum had so many ideas for their shoot – and well, if you’re going to invest money in something you’ve got to invest a little time in making sure…

Under the weather | Abu Dhabi Child Photographer

My 2 girls have both been feeling very, very sorry for themselves this week and I’ve been spending a lot of time on trying to nurse them back to full health again… and in doing so caught the nasty cold they had myself.  I’ve managed to carry on without re-scheduling any shoots (but with huge thanks to those…

Ramadan Family Time Promotion | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Ramadan has lots of meanings, but to me, as a non-muslim, one of the most important aspects that I can easily embrace is that it’s a family time. It’s a time to take stock of life and slow down to appreciate what’s around you, and a lot of us here are lucky enough to be…

Ramadan Kareem | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Ramadan has started here in Abu Dhabi (for those reading from abroad Ramadan doesn’t necessarily start on the same day in all countries). This is my 3rd ramadan here and I have been soooo looking forward to it.  I’ve got to admit, the first one I found a real drag because we’d just arrived and…
