Kirsty Larmour Photography | Review of the Year 2018

Happy 2019!! And thanks for the wild ride 2018!! I’m delighted that I got to capture families all over the world this year – our move from Abu Dhabi saw me branch further afield, and try new things, meet different people and embrace change. The constant throughout all this was my desire to capture connection,…

Abu Dhabi Ramadan in Photos

Ramadan Kareem. Ramadan is a really special time when you live in the U.A.E. Last year I strived to capture an Abu Dhabi Ramadan in photos so that I could treasure some of the things that make it unique. It’s a quiet time for contemplation and Abu Dhabi seems peaceful and even for those who…

Wish You Were Here 2017

I’m kind of in disbelief that we just finished year 4 of the Wish You Were Here Project. The fact it’s still going is such testament to the wonderful group pf ladies who contribute little snippets of their lives each week. For me it’s a little piece of calm in an otherwise full speed whirr of…

Abu Dhabi Photographer | Review of the Year 2017

Wow, what a year 2017 was. A rollercoaster in many ways for some of my loved ones, but with the downs there are always the ups! And for me, seeing beautiful families in my favourite places in Abu Dhabi is all part of what makes a year great. And just look at them!! So much…

Out at the Fossil Rocks

I think it’s no surprise to anyone how much I love exploring around Abu Dhabi and the UAE and capturing photographs in some of our more diverse landscapes. So one afternoon some we headed off with some friends for a picnic out at the fossil rocks. The 5 kids loved clambering over them and playing/exploring/fighting/hiding…

Wish You Were Here 2016

I can’t believe that we have completed our THIRD year of the Wish You Were Here Project – this project has become so dear to my heart. The group of ladies who contribute to it from around the world are wonderful and we share the weekly ins and outs of our lives – the ups and…

UAE National Day 2016

Pretty much every year I make a post to celebrate the National Day of the United Arab Emirates – well one of my babies was born here in Abu Dhabi, so it’s a place that will always be held in our hearts dearly. This year I decided to share a few from the Flag Garden at…

When Baby No. 3 arrived | Abu Dhabi Newborn Photographer

I was delighted to be able to capture the time when baby No. 3 arrived and joined this beautiful family. I shared their beautiful Dubai sunset beach maternity session here. I’ve captured a few hours worth of tender moments in the early weeks of all three of their children now and the trust that they put…

A road trip to the desert | Abu Dhabi Desert Photography

It’s always an honour when someone chooses you to capture their family, there is no doubt about that. But when that family chooses to make a whole day road trip down from the far side of Dubai to meet you in the middle of nowhere because Mum has been reading your blog and knows that…

3 beautiful girls | Abu Dhabi Newborn Photograper

In a place like Abu Dhabi where people are always moving on it’s such a beautiful thing to capture a family time and again. To be there to document the excitement and emotion of the arrival of a third child is truly an honour and I have adored spending time with this beautiful family as…

A beach maternity session

I love this family, and was super sad when they packed up and left Abu Dhabi – we even did a “Goodbye Abu Dhabi” shoot for them. Fortunately they only travelled up the road to Dubai, so when I got a call saying they were expecting again I was super excited to jump in the car…

Oh that desert light | Abu Dhabi desert shoot

I really am so very lucky to do what I do in such a beautiful part of the world. When people contact me for an Abu Dhabi desert shoot we chat a lot about where and when and what to wear and how the session will go – there is a little more planning needed…

Perfect Timing | Abu Dhabi Family Photographer

Today I headed out to make a delivery to an adorable client and her family. We laughed and reminisced about the session and she mentioned all the little details I’d picked up that she adored.  And we chatted with both our sets of kids about what we’d all done this summer and where we’d been… but…

More Break Out News!!!

So after months of preparation my Break Out has finally gone live and it’s so exciting!! I have the most adorable group of students all keen to capture great memories this summer wherever they are, and whatever they’re doing. And that’s just what I wanted! People who are passionate about experiencing life AND capturing it…
