Incredible India | Abu Dhabi Travel Photographer

I was absolutely thrilled to recently have a photo chosen for an exhibition in Hong Kong. The exhibition was sponsored by Jet Airways and the theme was “Incredible India”. My image was one of the Golden Temple in Amritsar. We went there on holiday in December last year – just 5 days after the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Our decision…

The 5th member | Abu Dhabi Photographer

I said I’d come back and add in the 5th member of the photoshoot below didn’t I? Yes, well, finally, here I am…. appologies… I’m busy, busy, but busy is good right? Yeah, the run up to Christmas (eeek I know, 9 weeks away or something!!) is always a little crazy.. So, the two gorgeous…

Eid Mubarak | Abu Dhabi Photographer

A belated Eid Mubarak to you all. Belated because I was enjoying a few days away from my computer over the border in beautiful Oman – though we did make it to Oman full of high spirits about being able to eat and drink anywhere we liked again, only to realise Eid hadn’t yet been…

It’s almost Eid | Abu Dhabi Photographer

It’s almost Eid, which means the Ramadan promotion is almost finished and I’m gathering together my big print order! So please let me know by Tuesday if you want to be included in the large block print promotion. And because I can’t post without a picture, here’s another from my evening at the mosque. Bye…

Sheik Zayed Mosque | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Our family went for Iftar the other day at Sheik Zayed Mosque. This is probably Abu Dhabi’s most famous landmark, and deservedly so – it’s an amazing building, only opened about 18 months ago, which is the second largest mosque in the world, holding approximately 40,000 worshipers. It’s also one of the only mosques in…

Ramadan – Food | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Aaaahhhh, Ramadan…. one of the reasons I love it is the food! And I don’t think I’m the only one – my Emirati friends often tell me that despite the fasting they fear putting weight on during Ramadan because of the divine iftar food. There are so many things that are special for this time…

10 minutes to Iftar | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Most photographers have personal projects ongoing in the background, behind all their professional work, that they wish they had more time to devote to. My current one has a time limit – trying to capture some images of what Ramadan is here in Abu Dhabi. It’s a month that means different things to different people, but I…

Ramadan Kareem | Abu Dhabi Photographer

Ramadan has started here in Abu Dhabi (for those reading from abroad Ramadan doesn’t necessarily start on the same day in all countries). This is my 3rd ramadan here and I have been soooo looking forward to it.  I’ve got to admit, the first one I found a real drag because we’d just arrived and…

Jordan Details | Abu Dhabi Photographer

My love of photography really blossomed through travel – and I’ve always loved to take lots of detail shots (ask my brother about my collection of photos of roman toilets!!).  At heart, I’m not really a landscape photographer and never will be. I love the close up’s, the nitty gritty, the colours, the textures, the…

Prickly Pear… * Abu Dhabi Photographer

I’m going through some more of my holiday photos – and I have to share this for 2 reasons, 1, because I LOVE prickly pears and it became a holiday obsession that I had to photograph some, but 2, because ever since I came across these pics I can’t get the “Bear Necessities” from the…

Exploring Petra * Abu Dhabi Photographer

One of the things I love when I look at other photographers sites is seeing what they do when they’re “off duty” – it gives you a sense of what that person is really like.  Well we had an awesome holiday to Jordan so I’m going to post just a few of my piccies.  I don’t…

The wanderer returns * Abu Dhabi Photographer

Hello! I’m back, so if you’ve been trying to get hold of me or are patiently waiting for photos or your gallery I promise I’ll be in touch in the next few days. We had a wonderful trip – saw amazing sights, ate far too much great food, chilled at cafe’s with beers (a rare novelty!) and…
