I'm Kirsty Hello There!

WELCOME TO KIRSTY LARMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY

Hi, I'm Kirsty, a lifestyle photographer in Abu Dhabi. My approach to photography is to capture real life – with a little sparkle on top fueled by my obsession with pretty light. I want to treasure the moments that need to be remembered.

Grab a cup of tea and have a roam around my blog to see my photography style and ideas. (Check out the Details section up there on the menu bar, and the FAQ's for lots of info too). I post pictures on here from recent photo sessions, as well as some personal photo projects and some ramblings about life in general. Leave some love, check my page out over on Facebook to stay up to date, and come back again soon,

Kirsty xx

Bump to Baby No.2 | Abu Dhabi Maternity and Newborn Photographer

This family are really special – this is the second time I’ve photographed them as they prepare the welcome a new baby into their lives and they approach it with such joy, and love, and excitement. It’s quite some time since the little fella arrived now (I am shockingly behind on blogging) so I’m going…

Letter to my Daughters August 2012

This is the fifth of my letters that I introduced in April.  As the months go by I find myself looking forward to this project more and more and treasuring not only all the special things about my girls and our family but also the normal moments of our days. Next go and see what Jody McKitrick…

Project 10 August | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

I can’t believe we’ve been doing this project for a whole year – I love how it makes me slow down and capture a day in our lives – which doesn’t mean every picture is “hang on the wall” worthy, but does create a picture of us that I’ll be able to look on in…

Desert mementos

I love this family… I’m heartbroken that they’re leaving the UAE and Abu Dhabi behind for more adventures elsewhere… but I’m delighted that they chose one final shoot out in the desert… and I’m forever blessed that a recommendation from a previous client meant that we met them and they became firm friends… Until we…

Letter to my Daughters | July 2012

This is the fourth of my letters that I introduced in April.  They won’t always be picture perfect, or eloquent, but they will be from the heart, and I’ll be writing them each month for my 2 treasured girls.  I’m undertaking this project with the most amazing set of ladies around the world….. Next go and see…

Project 10 July | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

Yay – it’s finally the school holidays! The last term was so busy it flew by, but it was so busy it was exhausting. Our holiday days have been filled with lots of hanging out, DVD’s, days at the pool, baking, hanging out, a few craft projects, reading, lounging in pj’s till midday and nothing…

Engaged: Louise & Jona – the part at the beach | Abu Dhabi engagement photographer

I said I’d be back with part 2 and here we go (see the first part of Louise and Jona’s engagement shoot here). After fun at their home we headed down to the beach just in time for the magical golden hour, just before the sun sets….  We made a guestbook from the photos from…

Confession | Abu Dhabi Family Photographer

It’s confession time…. My family, the Larmour Family, have never had professional photos taken of us. I hear glass shattering, the gasps of shock and screams of horror around town…. I promise it’s not for the want of trying… twice I’ve contacted photographers in the UK and tried to arrange shoots when we’ve been there……

Letter to my Daughters | June 2012

This is the third of my letters that I introduced in April.  They won’t always be picture perfect, or eloquent, but they will be from the heart, and I’ll be writing them each month for my 2 treasured girls.  I’m undertaking this project with the most amazing set of ladies around the world….. I’m lucky enough…

In the Mountains | Abu Dhabi Kids Photographer

When I moved to the U.A.E. I was struck by what a beautiful and geographically diverse country it is.  A few months ago I showed off how amazingly stunning the U.A.E. desert is in a shoot (which you can see here!) As a girl who grew up surrounded by mountains, the first time I saw…

Engaged: Louise & Jona – the part with the balloons | Abu Dhabi engagement photographer

Project 10 June | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

In the midst of a crazy busy week I realised I’d not actually shot my Project 10 this month.. which left me only the weekend and the madness of dance shows to do it – so I hold my hand up and confess, I shot this over 2 days….. but all the pictures could have…

Diamond Jubilee | Abu Dhabi Child Photographer

You didn’t think I was going to let the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee pass without a shoot did you? We Brits love to celebrate – and we had a lot of fun for the Royal Wedding last year! Especially as a British mummy of 2 non-British kids, who have never spent much time in the country…
