Artifact Motherhood | April 2020

I’m hugely honoured to be joining Artifact Motherhood; a collaboration of artists from around the world who have come together to share our stories of the joys and struggles of our journey. Through our writings and visual records, we want to create memories that are more than photographs with dates written on the back. Started by Diana Hagues and Hollie Stokes, these posts are the artifacts we are leaving behind for our children and for generations to come. Please check out the next artist in our blog circle, and continue through all the artists until you get back to me

Wish You Where Here 2019

Wow, wow, wow! It’s really been 6 whole years of this amazing project, the Wish You Were Here project! And through dodgy wifi and difficult countries, international moves and sickness I’ve kept posting and sharing to our log of a picture a week of life where ever we are. And I absolutely love that I…

Mamas, get in the frame!

We photographers say it all the time! Get in the frame -get out from behind the camera – be in those pictures with your kids – we Mama’s are particularly bad at this – we follow our kids and dote on them and capture their every move in an attempt to treasure their childhood. But…

30 days of | Click Pro December Project

I shared some previous ClickPro monthly projects. I love that these push me to look for different photo opportunities that I might not try otherwise. In December the topic was quite loose…. just “30 days of…” and you could choose your own topic but then shoot it every day. I chose “30 days of my…

Wish You Were Here 2018

I can not believe it’s been FIVE years of the Wish You Were Here Project – that’s amazing… Most projects fizzle out after a year or 2 so five is an incredible achievement. I’m so, so happy to have a photo a week of little moments in our days and our travels and our normal…

Around Town | Click Pro September Project

Following on from the bravery of the “This is Me” project with ClickPro the next month’s topic was “Around Town” and this one also required some bravery as I was one of the leaders along with 2 incredible ladies Carmody Baker and Denise Laurinaitis. I recorded a video tutorial that can be found in the…

This is Me | Click Pro August Project

This is Me. Sometimes photography takes a lot of bravery. Non more so than when you take part in a project that involves taking self portraits. Like many photographers I am a million times more comfortable behind the lens. Like many women I see my own flaws all too clearly and have the voices of…

Wish You Were Here 2017

I’m kind of in disbelief that we just finished year 4 of the Wish You Were Here Project. The fact it’s still going is such testament to the wonderful group pf ladies who contribute little snippets of their lives each week. For me it’s a little piece of calm in an otherwise full speed whirr of…

Thailand Travels | Abu Dhabi Travel Photography | Letters to my Daughters

This summer my girls and I travelled to Thailand for a couple of weeks break from the UAE summer heat – yup, I know just swapping one kind of heat for another, but the change of scene was so good for us too – I love my travels with my girls, so I thought I’d…

Wish You Were Here 2016

I can’t believe that we have completed our THIRD year of the Wish You Were Here Project – this project has become so dear to my heart. The group of ladies who contribute to it from around the world are wonderful and we share the weekly ins and outs of our lives – the ups and…

Chinese New Year Preparations | Pieces of Life

We love Chinese New Year!! We celebrate it to celebrate our Saffy’s country of birth, and to remember a life before we moved to the UAE. Last year while we travelled we celebrated UAE National Day in recognition of Indy’s country of birth with a fine selection of Middle Eastern cuisine in England, and Chinese…

Wish You Were Here 2015

2015 was a big year for us in the Larmour family and nothing sums it up better than seeing the weekly images I posted to the Wish You Were Here project over the course of the year. (You can see last years set of 52 images HERE). Our travels continued – we started the year…

Happy National Day | Pieces of Life

It’s been a few years since I photographed my girls in their kandoras celebrating National Day – and as we’ve just returned to Abu Dhabi after a year away and the girls needed new kandoras I thought this was the perfect time – and so we popped down to the beach late in the afternoon to…

Pieces of Life | A yurt in Kyrgyzstan

I’m still so behind on posting – our travels have been amazing and I have so much to share – as well as so many beautiful Abu Dhabi Photography sessions from my trips back there to see wonderful clients over this year… but for now I’m going to share some pieces of life… While we…

Pieces of Life | Carpet shopping in Marrakech

It’s been a while since I posted a pieces of life essay – and I admit this one is cheating a little – life is busy on the road, and wifi isn’t great, but hopefully I’ll have a few more to share over the coming months as I love these little snippets of what we’re…
