Wish You Were Here 2017

I’m kind of in disbelief that we just finished year 4 of the Wish You Were Here Project. The fact it’s still going is such testament to the wonderful group pf ladies who contribute little snippets of their lives each week. For me it’s a little piece of calm in an otherwise full speed whirr of…

Our UAE Summer

We spent half of the summer in the UAE before heading off on some travels which meant we had lots of time for local adventures! I challenged myself, and members of the “Photography on the Fly” Facebook group (please come along and join us if you’ve taken PotF and enjoyed it and want to keep…

Out at the Fossil Rocks

I think it’s no surprise to anyone how much I love exploring around Abu Dhabi and the UAE and capturing photographs in some of our more diverse landscapes. So one afternoon some we headed off with some friends for a picnic out at the fossil rocks. The 5 kids loved clambering over them and playing/exploring/fighting/hiding…

Beach Explorations

I love it when we venture a bit further afield and stumble across new places to explore – a friend had described where this place was to me and when I found it the beach there was perfect like that. Not too much else around, some houses way over in the distance but nothing much to…

Wish You Were Here 2016

I can’t believe that we have completed our THIRD year of the Wish You Were Here Project – this project has become so dear to my heart. The group of ladies who contribute to it from around the world are wonderful and we share the weekly ins and outs of our lives – the ups and…

A road trip to the desert | Abu Dhabi Desert Photography

It’s always an honour when someone chooses you to capture their family, there is no doubt about that. But when that family chooses to make a whole day road trip down from the far side of Dubai to meet you in the middle of nowhere because Mum has been reading your blog and knows that…

Wish You Were Here 2015

2015 was a big year for us in the Larmour family and nothing sums it up better than seeing the weekly images I posted to the Wish You Were Here project over the course of the year. (You can see last years set of 52 images HERE). Our travels continued – we started the year…

Pieces of Life | Carpet shopping in Marrakech

It’s been a while since I posted a pieces of life essay – and I admit this one is cheating a little – life is busy on the road, and wifi isn’t great, but hopefully I’ll have a few more to share over the coming months as I love these little snippets of what we’re…

Pieces of Life | Baking Bread

The girls love baking bread at home, but when we come to England and stay with my sister in law they love it even more as she has a breadmaker!!! This was their first time making bread without her supervision!! And they did a great job.  A breadmaker is definitely on our wish list for when…

Pieces of Life | A unicorn on the beach

This little lady turned 7… for her birthday she wanted to ride her unicorn on a deserted beach… and so that’s what she got… but can you believe this is the same beach as we went to for Saffy’s birthday a couple of weeks before? The weather was so different and we could hardly see…

Pieces of Life | Their first Autumn

I’m excited to start a new project with a fabulously talented group of women. Each month we will post a picture on the Clickin’Moms Daily Project that is just one part of a photo essay named “Pieces of Life” – the full essay will be posted on our own blogs. My girls had never experienced an…

Featured in Click Magazine

I am so over the moon honoured and thrilled to have been interviewed for Click Magazine.  This magazine is a publication that just gets what women want from photography. Click features emotion and feelings and pretty light and it’s not just about the gear or the settings as so many photography magazines are.  They asked me…

A boating goodbye | Abu Dhabi Lifestyle Photographer

This family are super special, as so many of my Abu Dhabi families are because I’ve got to know them as the years have passed and I always feel super grateful to have that in such a transient expat society. Over the years they’ve had maternity photos to celebrate the impending arrivals of both their…
