amy grace - kirsty, there is just so much joy in the eyes of your kids. there is no hint of a drop of anything phony or desired or manufactured. the happiness is pure as their beauty. the many layers of your life must be such an adventure, but must need an anchor too…and that is so obviously you, their mama. all of these layers which you navigate so naturally, with such a positive attitude, open to change, to new things, to love in all forms, is such a gift to your girls. so many of us get stuck, become afraid, live timidly. i get this strong and beautiful feeling that they are going to hold on to this joy and openness. i love this set of images. they could light up the world. i hope your christmas with them was wonderful and inspired new memories and traditions. xoxo

It is the best to hear how we express our love in a way they can comprehend. I think it is so lovely to hear about putting your “busies” into perspective and time of year. WHen i quit my “real job” to be a mom i always heard that little ugly voice in my brain saying “but what will your daughters think of you, just staying home?!” then my life took this path and i found photography and i realized just how much they will learn from me and me “just staying home” 🙂 wonderfully said and beautifully finished…as YES THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR SNUGGLES. xoxo sweet friend

Danielle - Such a sweet letter to Indy. My two were completely dis-combobulated this past summer, and had a crazy 6 weeks. One of them handled it sooo well, the other was not as easy-going. It is hard for these little people to adjust at times (just like us!), and being taken out of their comfort zone can be a good thing. Extra snuggles & hugs are a perfect remedy! Sarah C - Oh Kristy! I love love your instagram photos of your girls. They are absolutely beautiful!! Honestly iPhone snaps have become a staple in our life because its really freed up so much time not having to lug our equipment around and being able to really snap and share images of our family with the people we care about. I can only imagine what a special time this month must be for you. Christmas time was similar for us for years and years when my husband worked 60-70 hours a week and we got extra time with them and Christmas break with our littles. Thank you so much for sharing something so sweet and precious to you with us all!! You just have the most beautiful girls!

Val Spring - Oh my friend, your words are beautiful, so incredibly touching, and filled with such love. I can tell what a happy home you have. Your girls irradiate happiness. I’ve told you a few times, there’s something so special about them. So happy to get to know you through two projects that are so close to my heart!
