No matter what we do, time seems to get this hold on us and it goes by so quickly, doesn’t it? I can tell you truly enjoy your girls and its beautiful!
amy grace - kirsty, your world is color and life and energy and SO much love. we all want that time i think. wish we could use it in different ways, try out choices, do it over and over. i am always struck by this feeling that you are teaching your girls so much about how to live IN the world. you are busy because you are engaged, doing things, experiencing wildly different places, making home about who you are, not where you are. i just cannot help feeling alive, happy, hopeful and lighter looking at these pictures. it’s one of your talents. they are sunshine and you know how to frame that perfectly. i love the mama you are.

WHen i quit my “real job” to be a mom i always heard that little ugly voice in my brain saying “but what will your daughters think of you, just staying home?!” then my life took this path and i found photography and i realized just how much they will learn from me and me “just staying home” 🙂 wonderfully said and beautifully finished…as YES THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR SNUGGLES. xoxo sweet friend

But what you said is so true. it’s good for them to see how hard you work to help have the lifestyle that you have and it’s ok for them to have to wait or to hear a “not today” every now and then. Rashmi - So beautifully said my friend. Your Indy-pie reminds me of my own little girl.. her big sister being her hero and sometimes struggling and feeling unsettled without her sister there. These challenges will make them grow and step out of their sister’s shadow and become their own person. Such a blessing to have a sister. <3

Danielle - Such a sweet letter to Indy. My two were completely dis-combobulated this past summer, and had a crazy 6 weeks. One of them handled it sooo well, the other was not as easy-going. It is hard for these little people to adjust at times (just like us!), and being taken out of their comfort zone can be a good thing. Extra snuggles & hugs are a perfect remedy! I hope we get to see you all this Xmas, we’ll be here. x

Sarah C - Oh Kristy! I love love your instagram photos of your girls. They are absolutely beautiful!! Honestly iPhone snaps have become a staple in our life because its really freed up so much time not having to lug our equipment around and being able to really snap and share images of our family with the people we care about. I can only imagine what a special time this month must be for you. Christmas time was similar for us for years and years when my husband worked 60-70 hours a week and we got extra time with them and Christmas break with our littles. Thank you so much for sharing something so sweet and precious to you with us all!! You just have the most beautiful girls!

jess - love these images, kirsty! they totally capture here and i love how fun and vibrant they are. i think it is so important to document all the little things about our girls…the things that make them who they are. feeling inspired to write down more of them more often!
